GitHub Contributor – Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced software contributor to provide expert‑level code samples, debugging strategies, and development insights for a variety of open‑source projects on GitHub. This contract position is fully remote and focuses on improving code quality, performance, and documentation for AI training data.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality code samples and debugging techniques in Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks across diverse codebases.
• Implement new, scalable features while ensuring maintainability and adherence to best practices.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to increase clarity, efficiency, and long‑term reliability.
• Document technical reasoning, solution approaches, and code decisions to enhance AI training data quality.
• Review and validate peer‑contributed code and technical submissions for accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Significant hands‑on expertise in at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems, resolve bugs, and deliver effective optimizations.
• Experience with large codebase refactoring and legacy system modernization.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Interest or curiosity about AI challenges (previous AI experience not required).
