Planificador de Mantenimiento (HDC)

About the role

The Maintenance Planner (HDC) will be responsible for organizing and controlling preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Gildan's mobile equipment fleet and packaging production lines. Working closely with production and distribution teams, the planner ensures that resources are allocated, schedules are met, and technical reports are generated to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑ and long‑term maintenance work plans in coordination with production and distribution areas.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance according to the plant’s master maintenance plan.
• Register all maintenance projects, providing status updates on cost, timeline, and parts.
• Control monthly maintenance budgets and fixed‑cost expenditures to avoid unjustified overruns.
• Prioritize and organize maintenance workload following asset‑care policies.
• Lead pre‑maintenance meetings and generate work orders based on the maintenance calendar and internal requests.
• Produce historical maintenance records based on findings from preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with the Global Quality System (GQS) and occupational health, safety, and environmental programs.

Required profile

• Understanding of GQS documentation, work methods, and internal/external client expectations.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience planning preventive and corrective maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to track projects, manage budgets, and control fixed costs.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Effective communication to facilitate meetings and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
