About the role

The Payroll Supervisor will lead a team within Gildan's shared services center and plant payroll function. The role ensures timely, accurate processing of salary calculations, compliance with internal controls, and coordination of tax and statutory payments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Global Quality System (GQS) for payroll processes.
• Implement health, safety, and environmental program requirements.
• Supervise payroll staff in the shared services center and plant.
• Control accuracy and timeliness of salary and benefit calculations.
• Plan, balance, and allocate resources to meet payroll delivery schedules.
• Propose and implement new methods and procedures to improve payroll operations.
• Conduct weekly follow‑up meetings to identify improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate team performance according to established procedures.
• Guarantee that payroll files are generated and sent to banks on schedule.
• Provide necessary information for timely payment of employee‑related taxes and governmental obligations.
• Handle employee inquiries, complaints, and provide appropriate responses.

Required profile

• Experience supervising payroll or related finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of payroll calculations, benefits, and statutory requirements.
• Ability to plan resources, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with internal quality and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills for team leadership and stakeholder interaction.
