Land Surveyor – Remote Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with proven experience in land surveying and Civil 3D to join our remote team. The role focuses on designing and overseeing land development, public works, and utility projects while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Advanced spoken English is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects related to land development, site infrastructure, and utility design.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS and other design software to produce detailed plans, models and construction documents.
• Prepare grading, drainage, roadway and utility plans in line with local, state and federal standards.
• Perform earthwork grading, access road, storm‑water, hydraulic and hydrology calculations, and design detention ponds, erosion control and parking lots.
• Create as‑built, foundation, road inventory and wetland surveys, and draft precise legal descriptions with accompanying maps.
• Conduct quality control reviews of all drawings and survey drafts before final sign‑off.

Required profile

• Verified experience in land surveying, drainage/sewer systems and Civil 3D.
• Strong ability to interpret topographic and boundary surveys for project planning.
• Excellent command of spoken English.
• Understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations and permitting processes.
