Senior Data Engineer (Databricks + AI/ML) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and AI/ML pipelines to join our talent network and work remotely with US‑based clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers, engineers and data scientists to deliver production‑ready data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms on Databricks.
• Prepare, transform and feed data for machine‑learning models, supporting feature engineering and MLOps workflows.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality, performance and reliability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data applications and monitor production workloads.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists and ML engineers, to integrate analytics into product features.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional data‑engineering experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• Databricks, Delta Lake and Apache Spark.
• SQL and data modelling.
• Python (or comparable data‑engineering language).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines, feature engineering and MLOps.
• ETL/ELT design and optimisation.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
