Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to boost production and administrative efficiency at our Cartago site in Zona Franca La Lima. You will work closely with the Value Stream Manager to design, implement, and monitor improvement projects that reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Value Stream Manager to identify and execute Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
• Lead 6S initiatives, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and other continuous‑improvement activities.
• Standardize processes, develop metrics, and track cost‑reduction outcomes.
• Assist in setting annual operational targets and drive progress toward them.
• Create training materials, conduct workshops, and support a strong EHS culture.
• Improve plant layout at macro and micro levels to optimize workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials, Electromechanical, Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage multiple projects.
