About the role

Salud para el Mundo is seeking an independent Backend Developer to ensure the continuity and evolution of its health services platform, SPM. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the backend, databases, APIs, integrations, security, and performance of the system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve the backend architecture of the SPM platform.
• Design, implement, and support relational databases and SQL queries.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Apply Git version control and follow best development practices.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and pharmacy teams to translate operational needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Ensure system security, quality, documentation, and efficient problem resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience building APIs and integrating external services.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Ability to understand, maintain, and improve existing systems.
• Organized, responsible, proactive, and good communication skills.
