Load Coordinator

About the role

The Load Coordinator serves as the central hub for freight movement, ensuring shipments are planned efficiently and executed on time. You will create optimized load plans, schedule appointments, and act quickly to resolve any disruptions that could affect customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Build daily freight loads to maximize trailer utilization, improve route efficiency, and control costs.
• Set up and monitor pickup and delivery appointments across shippers, receivers, distribution centers, and carriers.
• Adjust schedules and resolve appointment conflicts in real time to minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain accurate load and appointment data within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Collaborate directly with dispatchers, carrier representatives, and customer service teams to share updates and status reports.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of transportation experience, preferably with a 3PL or brokerage.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
• Sharp critical‑thinking skills to identify issues early and escalate them appropriately.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using LTL booking platforms.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of Scout TMS is a major plus.
