Medical Interpreter Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a highly proficient English–Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our remote healthcare interpretation campaign. The interpreter will ensure clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive communication between healthcare providers and Spanish‑speaking patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time medical interpretation between English‑speaking healthcare professionals and Spanish‑speaking patients via phone.
• Accurately interpret medical terminology, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
• Clarify cultural nuances when necessary and document call details according to internal guidelines.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) and fluent Spanish.
• High school diploma (healthcare or language studies preferred).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology (training provided if needed).
• Excellent listening, memory, and note‑taking skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in sensitive medical situations.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.
