National Assistant for Administration, Procurement and Financial Support

About the role

The National Assistant will support the project’s administrative, financial and procurement management under the direct supervision of the Project National Coordinator and the National Policies and Programs Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Execute accounting, financial control and procurement functions in line with Adaptation Fund and WFP SOPs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date, reconciled accounting records and identify financial risks.
• Develop and implement standard financial tools and procedures to optimise project management.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports providing timely and accurate information.
• Evaluate suppliers and manage secure financial transfers to beneficiaries.
• Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops and missions, and control project inventory.
• Monitor and update financial information systems, ensuring data alignment and reconciliation.
• Facilitate internal and external audits and implement internal controls for transparency.
• Support cash‑flow planning, disbursement scheduling and administrative agreements with implementing partners.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Administration, Accounting or related field.
• At least four (4) years of experience in financial management of projects.
