Product Development Coordinator

About the role

The Product Development Coordinator will drive the end‑to‑end fabric development process, ensuring that samples meet customer specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Working closely with the Product Development Manager, this role acts as the central hub for cross‑functional communication and project tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of product development plans defined by the Product Development Manager.
• Monitor all stages of fabric development, including knitting, dyeing, finishing, laboratory testing, and sample approval.
• Issue development and sample orders to relevant production departments and track progress using ERP, PLM, or Excel.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, fabric specifications, and development records.
• Facilitate daily communication among Product Development, Production, Laboratory, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Customer Service teams.
• Organize laboratory testing (shrinkage, colorfastness, pilling, etc.) and verify sample compliance before shipment.
• Prepare, label, package, and ship development samples.
• Report progress, risks, delays, and technical issues to the Product Development Manager and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product or fabric development within the textile industry.
• Hands‑on experience with knit fabric constructions (Jersey, Rib, French Terry, Fleece, Piqué, etc.).
• Strong organizational, planning, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Effective communication and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
