Senior C++ Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a Senior C++ Software Engineer you will design and implement a lightweight edge runtime that operates reliably under disconnected, intermittent and low‑bandwidth conditions. The role focuses on modern C++ system‑level development for IoT and edge devices, ensuring secure communication and robust data handling.

Key responsibilities

• Build edge runtime software using modern C++ (C++20) with emphasis on coroutines, ownership, lifetimes and concurrency.
• Develop IoT and edge functionality that supports device discovery, local persistence and store‑and‑forward behavior.
• Implement secure networking using gRPC and mutual TLS (mTLS) connections.
• Author comprehensive tests including unit, contract, integration, boundary, restart and negative scenarios.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux/Windows service processes and OS‑level APIs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (preferably C++20) with experience in coroutines, concurrency and defensive error handling.
• Hands‑on experience with IoT/edge development, device discovery and store‑and‑forward mechanisms.
• Background in Linux or Windows systems programming and secure transport protocols (gRPC, mTLS, sockets).
• Proven ability to write and maintain extensive automated test suites.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
