Senior Data Quality Analyst – Remote

About the role

As a Senior Data Quality Analyst you will translate business specifications into technical validation, ensuring that data produced by the platform matches the intended meaning. You will use your SQL expertise to investigate defects, perform source‑to‑target reconciliations, and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Read business specifications and documentation to define expected data behavior.
• Write and reason through SQL queries to investigate defects, including source‑to‑target reconciliation and legacy vs. new logic comparisons.
• Validate transformation correctness, identify incorrect mappings, and spot placeholder or unsourced values.
• Manage a defect backlog: reproduce issues, isolate root causes, and route them to the appropriate engineer with clear detail.
• Raise clarifying questions with client‑side stakeholders rather than assuming business intent.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or data quality roles.
• Strong hands‑on SQL skills for analytical querying and defect investigation.
• Experience with data quality/QA analysis, transformation validation, and root‑cause identification.
• Proficiency working with Jira backlogs.
• Question‑asking working style and excellent written and spoken English.
