Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support multiple client accounts, many of which are in the construction industry. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting workflows, meeting deadlines, and delivering accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for 6–10 clients simultaneously.
• Process invoices, payments, and perform account reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements.
• Support payroll processing as needed.
• Assist with month‑end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc financial reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Prioritize multiple client workflows and deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of staff accountant or similar experience.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple clients or companies simultaneously.
• 3+ years of QuickBooks Online experience; QBO certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational, attention‑to‑detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and handle confidential information.
• Audit experience and construction‑industry accounting experience are advantageous.
