Supervisor - Refrigeración

About the role

Gildan is seeking a Supervisor for Refrigeration to lead the ventilation, extraction, refrigeration and air‑conditioning technicians at its Río Nance plant. The role ensures optimal operation of cooling equipment while minimizing maintenance costs and downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and equipment failures.
• Review, prioritize and organize the maintenance workload in line with asset‑care policies and process priorities.
• Propose, request and manage the maintenance budget, monitoring monthly spend to avoid unjustified overruns.
• Document key procedures for each piece of equipment and upload them to the material‑structure system.
• Participate in warehouse parts cleanup for the assigned area.
• Supervise technicians responsible for ventilation, extraction, refrigeration and air‑conditioning.
• Generate work reports for the area and ensure reliable operation of plant cooling machinery.

Required profile

• Graduate or student in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Technical Bachelor’s degree in Refrigeration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration and air‑conditioning maintenance, including auxiliary equipment and chillers.
• Functional understanding of maintenance administration and asset management.
