Technical Manager - Remote

About the role

BairesDev, a technology consulting firm with a 4,000+ remote team, is hiring a Technical Manager. You will act as the technical expert in conversations with leads and prospects, turning their needs into concrete solutions such as role definitions, team compositions, project estimates or proposals. Working closely with sales, delivery and presales, you will explain the value of the delivery model and advise on best practices in software engineering, AI, data and analytics, cloud or quality.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with leads and prospects alongside the sales team, turning requirements into clear documents and explaining the value proposition of the delivery model.
• Travel to meet leads and attend events, presenting the company's capabilities and approach.
• Discuss technical solutions and team composition with leads.
• Work with presales on proposals, estimates and team recommendations.
• Advise on best practices in software delivery within your area of expertise.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building software with teams in the SDLC.
• 3+ years of specialized experience in a specific SDLC area, language, framework or technology.
• Experience selling technology outsourcing through pre-sales or sales teams.
• Subject-matter expert knowledge in one or two verticals, with deep domain experience in at least one.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Cloud, DevOps or infrastructure experience.
• Nice to have: expertise in data and analytics, quality, cloud, engineering or AI.
