UI Systems Designer (Remote, San Pedro Sula)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for clients across the US. As a UI Systems Designer, you own how the client design systems are built: taking a brand and a few reference sites and turning them into a working system of tokens, variables, modes and core components that a build pipeline can run without asking questions. This is a senior, systems-first position focused on building new systems quickly and correctly across several client brands.

Key responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes and semantic naming that the pipeline can read predictably.
• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different but with the same structural rigor.

Required profile

• 4+ years designing for the web, with real design system work in your portfolio.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

Required skills

• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout and variants; actual architecture, not just tidy files.
• A portfolio where the work looks different from client to client but shares the same underlying rigor.
