WASH Project Technician

About the role

World Vision is seeking a dedicated WASH Project Technician to support water, sanitation and hygiene initiatives in Santa Rosa de Copán. The role involves technical field work, data collection, and coordination of infrastructure projects that improve community health.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify technical information for WASH projects.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure works.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project documentation.
• Support community engagement and capacity‑building activities related to water and sanitation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in water, sanitation, infrastructure or community development projects.
• Experience conducting technical surveys and supervising field works.
• Ability to operate 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles in remote areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of WaterCAD and EPANET for hydraulic modeling.
• Experience using budgeting or cost‑estimation software.
