Asistente Contable – Tegucigalpa

About the role

The Accounting Assistant will manage treasury processes and provide accounting support to ensure financial resources are available, payments are made on time, and records are accurate. This role is essential for delivering reliable financial information that underpins decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Process national and international supplier payments.
• Handle tax payments, utilities, customer refunds, travel expenses, and employee advances.
• Monitor daily foreign‑currency purchases and availability.
• Perform and analyze bank reconciliations.
• Record accounting entries for imports, bank movements, and payments.
• Prepare financial and tax reports, including purchases, sales, withholdings, and bank activity.
• Coordinate communication with suppliers, banks, and internal departments.
• Ensure timely payments to avoid penalties or service suspensions.
• Enter all transactions promptly into the accounting system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of tax legislation, accounting principles, and IFRS (NIIF) standards.
• Strong numerical analysis ability and attention to detail.
• Negotiation skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Team‑oriented with good interpersonal relationships.

What we offer

• Responsibility for managing monthly payments of approximately L.5,000,000.
• Negotiation of foreign‑currency purchases up to USD 400,000 per month.
