Customer Service Representative

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team! This position focuses on assisting patients, researching accounts, verifying insurance information, providing account support, and delivering an excellent customer experience within a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound calls while providing professional and efficient customer service.
• Research, review, document, and update patient accounts accurately.
• Assist patients with account questions, payment plans, Charity Care screening, and insurance-related matters.
• Verify insurance eligibility and identify potential Medicaid or other coverage opportunities.
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding verification and account status.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions.
• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or alternatives.
• Follow established call scripts, client procedures, company policies, and HIPAA requirements.
• Escalate account concerns when necessary and support additional client projects as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in healthcare, customer service, insurance, or patient relations.
• CEFR C1 English proficiency or higher in speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Healthcare, insurance, or billing knowledge is preferred.
• Previous BPO/call‑center experience is a plus.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic systems.
