Deputy Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support day‑to‑day operations and execution of an ongoing project in Soto Cano, Honduras. The role works closely with the Site/Contract Manager, providing operational leadership, coordinating teams, resources and subcontractors, and stepping in to lead daily activities when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Site/Contract Manager in overall project execution and daily operations.
• Coordinate operational activities, personnel, resources, subcontractors and service providers.
• Supervise on‑site teams to ensure proper planning, coordination and execution of tasks.
• Monitor service delivery, schedules, quality, compliance and operational performance.
• Identify operational issues and drive timely corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders.
• Provide hands‑on support and assume operational lead in the absence of the Site/Contract Manager.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, safety and a results‑oriented environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as Project Manager, Site Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage people, resources, subcontractors and multiple services simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, organization, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Independent, initiative‑driven and comfortable handling changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to work fully on‑site in Soto Cano, Honduras.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; interview process conducted in English.
