Electronic & Security Technician – San Pedro Sula

About the role

Soluciones DM is looking for a field technician in San Pedro Sula to install, configure, and support electronic security systems for commercial and industrial projects across Honduras. You will be the face of the company on site, handling large‑scale installations and providing direct customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure analog and IP CCTV systems, including dome, bullet and PTZ cameras, DVR/NVR units, and remote access.
• Set up intrusion alarm panels, keypads, motion sensors, magnetic contacts, sirens and communicators.
• Deploy and test perimeter electric fences, energizers, isolators, line tensioning, grounding and voltage checks.
• Install vehicle barriers and access‑control hardware such as motors, magnetic loops, remote controls and keypads.
• Perform structured cabling work: EMT conduit, cable trays, RJ45 punching, UTP and coaxial cabling.
• Use multimeters and network testers to verify installations.
• Provide on‑site customer support, document each service and assist other technical areas as needed.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years proven experience in electronic security installations.
• Technical high school diploma in electronics, electricity, IT or telecommunications.
• Valid driver’s license; own motorcycle or vehicle is preferred (role is 80% travel).
• Availability for emergency calls outside regular hours and ability to work at heights.
• Professional appearance and good client interaction skills.

• Multimeter and network tester usage.
• Basic IP networking: IP addressing, router configuration, port forwarding.
• Basic switch configuration, VLAN basics, DDNS.
• PC and printer repair.
• Biometric access control and time‑clock systems.
• Video intercoms and intercom systems.
• Gate automation.
• Fiber‑optic splicing and certification.
• Optional certifications: Hikvision, Dahua, Ajax, DSC, Paradox.
