General Accountant – Senior Finance Role

About the role

We are seeking a senior General Accountant to join our finance team in San Pedro Sula. The role involves leading financial reporting, analysis, and internal control activities while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements and executive reports.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and related operations.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and profitability analysis.
• Lead budgeting, financial planning, and BSC indicator development.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal audit standards.
• Drive process optimization and automation initiatives within the finance function.
• Collaborate with senior management and provide financial insights for business decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting and Finance with a current professional license.
• 10+ years of experience in senior accounting or finance positions.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (bilingual preferred).
• Strong analytical, leadership, and executive communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and to start in the short term.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS (NIIF) and financial audit standards.
• Expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and BSC metrics.
• Experience with intercompany accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management.
• Process automation and optimization capabilities.
