Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Logistics Assistant will provide operational and administrative support for warehouse management, inventory control, and in‑kind donations at ChildFund’s office in Tegucigalpa. The role ensures compliance with ChildFund and donor standards while balancing field work with documentation tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, and dispatch supplies and in‑kind donations according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and generate regular reports.
• Perform physical field work, including handling materials and operating a 4x4 vehicle as needed (approximately 75% of time).
• Complete documentation, control, and administrative reporting tasks (approximately 25% of time).
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with ChildFund policies and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education or university student in administration, accounting, finance, supply‑chain or related fields.
• Minimum three years of experience in logistics and inventory management.
• Knowledge of receiving, storage, dispatch processes, and general material logistics.
• Familiarity with warehouse management tools and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a mechanical 4x4 vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using warehouse management software or tools.
• Ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle safely.
