About the role

The Occupational Health Physician will lead the strategic health and safety agenda for Cargill, ensuring legal, occupational and financial risk management while supporting a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain execution discipline of occupational safety programs and ensure compliance with national regulations.
• Identify and mitigate avoidable risks to prevent work‑related accidents and illnesses.
• Conduct site inspections, participate in committees, audits and strategic meetings.
• Oversee worker health surveillance, industrial hygiene assessments and contractor management.
• Administer the health budget, approve purchases, authorize chemicals and manage accident investigations.
• Lead recruitment, training and performance evaluation of the health team.
• Support operational changes (MOC), corporate social responsibility initiatives and ensure medical office permits are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Medical degree (Medicine and Surgery).
• Minimum 5 years experience in occupational health or similar roles.
• Diploma in hospital management and specialization or master’s in occupational health, safety, hygiene or ergonomics preferred.
• Intermediate English (B2) proficiency.
