Principal Architect - Remote Work

About the role

BairesDev is looking for a Principal Architect to design and govern enterprise‑scale cloud strategies across multi‑region and multi‑account environments. The role acts as the technical authority for cloud standards, ensuring infrastructures are resilient, secure, and cost‑optimized.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and oversee deployment of highly available, multi‑region cloud infrastructures supporting global operations.
• Define and implement enterprise‑wide governance frameworks and cloud standards to maintain architectural consistency.
• Drive FinOps initiatives and cost‑optimization strategies to maximize business value of cloud investments.
• Apply the AWS Well‑Architected Framework and industry best practices to improve reliability and security.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and engineering teams to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.
• Design multi‑cloud and cross‑account strategies to enhance portability and reduce organizational risk.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering.
• Proven expertise designing and governing enterprise‑wide cloud architectures across multi‑region and multi‑account environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud governance frameworks, FinOps, and cost‑optimization strategies.
• Strong background implementing the AWS Well‑Architected Framework or similar standards.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud security configurations and multi‑cloud strategy.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
