Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records and assist with reporting and compliance. The role works in a fast‑paced environment and collaborates with management to improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and support budget tracking.
• Assist payroll processing and expense reporting as needed.
• Handle sales‑tax filings and other regulatory reporting.
• Maintain organized financial documentation.
• Support audits and provide required documentation.
• Work with management to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).
• 2‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; Spanish a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
