Sustainability Technician – WASH

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Sustainability Technician specialized in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) to help implement safe‑water initiatives across Honduras. The role focuses on improving community access to clean water and strengthening digital monitoring of WASH projects in schools, health centers and rural settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of safe‑water projects in targeted Honduran communities.
• Strengthen digital monitoring systems for WASH interventions in schools, health facilities and community sites.
• Collaborate with local water committees, municipal authorities and community organizations to ensure project sustainability.
• Facilitate community training sessions on water governance and hygiene practices.

Required profile

• University or technical degree in Education Sciences, Social Promotion, Water & Sanitation, Agronomy, Forestry or related fields.
• Minimum three years of experience in rural development, water‑board strengthening, and coordination with municipalities and community groups.
• Proven experience in community training, water governance and WASH project management.
• Valid driver’s license for 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital data collection and information‑management tools.
• Ability to operate 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles safely.
