About the role

The UH‑60 Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) conducts flight‑test missions to verify aircraft performance, handling, and airworthiness after maintenance or modifications. Based in Honduras, the pilot works closely with military pilots, technicians, and support staff to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, file, and execute flight test missions, including weight‑and‑balance calculations and meteorological assessments.
• Interpret weather data and generate flight plans using authorized navigation procedures.
• Complete all required military flight and maintenance documentation, reporting discrepancies and test results.
• Perform recovery, ferry, and alert‑status run‑up flights to support depots and contract requirements.
• Conduct on‑ground and in‑flight troubleshooting, providing written or verbal corrective instructions.
• Lead or support site safety specialist duties, internal audits (AS9100/AS9110), and continual‑improvement initiatives.
• Execute aircraft technical inspections, including power‑plant hot and cold sections, accessory modules, and subsystem evaluations.
• Assess operational readiness, estimate repair costs for crash‑damaged aircraft, and ensure compliance with technical manuals and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified pilot with experience in military or civil aircraft test operations.
• Ability to interpret technical publications and determine airworthiness prior to flight release.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with pilots, technicians, and auditors.
• Willingness to deploy as needed to support contract or maintenance test requirements.
