UH‑60 Aircraft Technical Inspector

About the role

The UH‑60 Aircraft Technical Inspector ensures that assigned aircraft meet all specifications and are airworthy before flight. This role involves inspecting repairs, modifications, and conducting quality and safety programs for complex aircraft systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and supervise technical inspections of UH‑60 aircraft, structures, components, and engines.
• Develop and implement quality‑control and ground‑safety programs to meet contract specifications.
• Audit work centers, maintenance actions, equipment, and facilities for compliance.
• Examine parts for conformance, tag disposition, and manage material deficiency and technical order improvements.
• Conduct safety inspections, training, drills, and brief/debrief pilots for functional check flights.
• Provide guidance to lower‑level technicians and maintain aircraft logs and records.

Required profile

• Minimum five years recent aircraft maintenance experience, including at least one year inspecting UH‑60 MDS.
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or five years as a UH‑60 inspector.
• Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical requirements.

Required skills

• FAA A&P license and FAA IA.
• Proficiency with Unit Level Logistics System‑Aviation Enhanced (ULLS‑AE).
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic aircraft systems.
• Experience with aircraft test equipment (torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet‑metal tools).
• Ability to evaluate technical documentation, maintenance orders, and quality deficiency reports.
