Accounting Assistant

About the role

One World Surgery is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support its financial operations across multiple international sites. The role involves accurate recording, control, and safeguarding of financial information, helping the organization maintain high standards of financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bank reconciliations and accounting transactions for local and international accounts.
• Process checks, bank transfers, payroll, petty cash, and vendor payments.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
• Prepare tax filings, financial reports, and provide month‑/year‑end closing support.
• Assist with audit documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulations.
• Lead the transition to Tipalti, coordinating implementation, migration, testing, and training.

Required profile

• Experience with accounting processes and financial documentation.
• Familiarity with international banking and multi‑currency transactions.
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Understanding of internal controls, tax filing requirements, and audit support.
