About the role

The Associate Technical Advisor will supervise a team of Community Trainers working within the Avanza Café project in the Copán-Ocotepeque region of Honduras. The role ensures that coffee producers receive high‑quality training, that knowledge transfer is effective, and that project goals are met.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and onboarding of Community Trainers.
• Guide Trainers in promoting the project and recruiting coffee producers.
• Deliver in‑person and remote training to Trainers on technical content, methodology, and use of digital tools.
• Ensure Trainers are prepared to implement each training module, using the CREAR methodology and training guides.
• Monitor the number of producers trained, quality of knowledge transfer, data collection for monitoring and evaluation, and adoption of recommended practices.
• Provide coaching and capacity‑building to strengthen Trainers’ technical and teaching abilities.
• Assist the Training Coordinator in organizing and replicating face‑to‑face training sessions.

Required profile

• Experience supervising field‑based training teams.
• Ability to recruit and motivate community trainers.
• Strong understanding of agricultural best practices for coffee production.
• Comfort with both on‑site and remote training delivery.
• Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and data collection processes.
