B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant (PEC)

About the role

IDB Invest seeks a B2B Marketing & Business Communications professional to support its Business Planning team. The consultant will help position the institution across key industries, enhancing visibility of transactions, events, and award‑worthy achievements throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver communications for business transactions, highlighting financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an inventory of high‑profile awards, support applications, track outcomes, and build a knowledge base.
• Coordinate business events, managing agendas, logistics, invitations, vendors, and stakeholder engagement, and produce post‑event reports.
• Maintain accurate stakeholder contact records and update event‑related information before and after each event.
• Support content initiatives and marketing campaigns that reinforce IDB Invest’s positioning in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or related field; certifications in B2B marketing or event management are a plus.
• At least 4 years of experience in B2B marketing and communications, preferably within multilaterals, development banks or large corporations.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); additional French or Portuguese knowledge is desirable.
• Legal right to work in the country of residence and no close family members employed by IDB entities.

Required skills

• Experience with content management systems.
• Proficiency in email marketing platforms and social media channels.
• Database management and CRM tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Analytics and reporting tools for media coverage and campaign performance.
