CH47 Technical Inspector

About the role

The CH47 Technical Inspector ensures that CH47 aircraft are maintained to required specifications and are airworthy before operation. This role involves inspecting repairs, modifications, and conducting quality and safety programs in a demanding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and supervise technical inspections of aircraft structures, components, and engines.
• Develop and implement quality control and ground safety programs to meet contract specifications.
• Perform audits of work centers, maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
• Examine parts for conformance, determine serviceability, and manage disposition documentation.
• Review maintenance source documents, track discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections, training, and briefings for pilots and crew.

Required profile

• Minimum five years recent aircraft maintenance experience, including at least one year inspecting CH47 aircraft.
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or five years as a CH47 inspector.
• Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or five years as a CH47 inspector.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (NAC-I T1 Public Trust) and US citizenship.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical requirements.

Required skills

• FAA A&P license and FAA Inspection Authorization.
• Proficiency with Unit Level Logistics System‑Aviation Enhanced (ULLS‑AE).
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic aircraft systems.
• Experience using aircraft test equipment such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and sheet‑metal tools.
• Ability to evaluate parts for serviceability and complete required documentation.
