Chief of Party II – Lead Pathways to Resilience Project

About the role

The Chief of Party II will provide vision, strategic leadership and overall management for the $15M Pathways to Resilience 2.0 project, a four‑year initiative operating in Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Reporting to CRS leadership and the donor, the role ensures high‑quality programming, security compliance and achievement of results that move farming households toward resilience and market integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the start‑up, implementation and consolidation of the Pathways to Resilience 2.0 project, aligning it with CRS’s Water Smart Agriculture platform.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the donor, coordinating communications, reporting and donor visits.
• Ensure project delivery meets donor expectations for timeliness, quality, budget execution and sustainability.
• Coordinate program and operations leads across the three countries to uphold CRS quality standards.
• Manage senior programming and operations staff, providing coaching, performance assessments and staffing plans.
• Drive adaptive management, seize opportunities and mitigate risks, including security and regional issues.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior program management for international development, preferably in agriculture, resilience or market systems.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑country teams and manage large donor‑funded budgets.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk mitigation in field settings.
• Excellent communication skills for donor relations and internal coordination.
