Communications Officer (On-site)

About the role

The Communications Officer will implement ChildFund Central America’s communication plan to strengthen the organization’s positioning and increase visibility of its mission. You will craft and disseminate key messages across appropriate formats and channels, engaging target audiences while maintaining a consistent voice and tone aligned with the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the communication plan to boost brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and adapt key messages for diverse audiences.
• Produce graphic, photographic, and video content for digital and print channels.
• Manage social media platforms and digital publishing tools.
• Ensure all communications reflect ChildFund’s values and visual identity.

Required profile

• University degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Communication or equivalent (or relevant work experience).
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar communications or digital marketing role.
• Intermediate spoken and written English proficiency.
• Ability to create compelling visual narratives and storytelling.
• Certificate in Digital Marketing or Inbound Marketing is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• Experience using Canva Pro for design creation.
• Knowledge of WordPress and Elementor Pro for website content management.
• Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI‑based design tools and current digital/social media platforms.
