Elixir Backend Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join client teams on remote, project‑based assignments across Latin America. You will work closely with designers and engineers to build robust, high‑performance APIs that power mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Elixir/Phoenix backend services and APIs.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Ecto) to store and query data efficiently.
• Maintain and improve legacy codebases while enhancing reliability.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration pipelines.
• Use containerization (Docker) and modern CI/CD workflows for deployment.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to code reviews.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience building backend services for mobile (React Native) applications.
