Grants Financial Specialist II – Latin America & Caribbean

About the role

Compassion International is looking for a Grants Financial Specialist II to manage U.S. Government and other donor‑funded grants across the Latin America & Caribbean region. The role is remote, based in one of the eligible program countries, and involves the full grant lifecycle from proposal to closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Develop budgets and narrative justifications for U.S. Government grant proposals and other institutional donors.
• Provide financial management throughout the grant lifecycle, including monitoring expenditures, forecasts, and performance.
• Prepare donor‑compliant financial reports and conduct budget variance analysis.
• Support donor and procurement audits, including Single Audits, and strengthen financial controls.
• Collaborate with finance, program, legal, compliance, and field teams across multiple countries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in grants finance, donor compliance, or financial management, preferably in an NGO or international development setting.
• Demonstrated experience developing budgets and narratives for U.S. Government grants.
• Strong knowledge of 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and experience with UN and other institutional donors.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
