Head of OPEX & CAPEX

About the role

The Head of OPEX & CAPEX will proactively manage the operating and capital expenditure budgets, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic goals. This senior position works closely with multiple business units to drive budget accuracy, cost‑saving initiatives, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, validate, and provide timely feedback on budget and forecast preparation across departments.
• Control execution of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, monitoring variances and escalating exceptions.
• Analyze financial data, project future figures, and challenge business areas on performance.
• Develop and implement cost‑saving plans.
• Ensure data quality, maintain account catalogues, and manage cost‑center structures.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports for business and finance leadership.
• Lead special projects assigned to FP&A and the finance directorate.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or Master’s in Business is desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting or finance within consumer goods, distribution, or similar sectors.
• Minimum 10 years of overall accounting and financial planning experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and experience with accounting/billing systems, preferably with implementation exposure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
