Junior AutoCAD Drafter

About the role

We are looking for a Junior AutoCAD Drafter to support the creation of shop drawings that will be used for installation projects. The role offers the chance to develop drafting skills while working closely with architects, engineers and the permitting team in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2‑D drawings using AutoCAD based on project specifications.
• Prepare and update submittals, drawings and other documentation required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and the permitting team to incorporate changes and ensure timely project completion.
• Verify that all drawings comply with industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Conduct quality checks to confirm accuracy and completeness of drafted documents.
• Organise and maintain electronic and physical file systems for easy access.
• Communicate progress and clarify requirements with team members.
• Stay current with AutoCAD features, drafting techniques and relevant codes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience creating 2‑D drawings in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with drafting principles, standards and the ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and in a hybrid team setting.
• Willingness to learn new software and adapt to evolving industry standards.
