Loading Rack Operator

About the role

The Loading Rack Operator ensures safe and efficient filling of fuel tank trucks at a terminal, meeting client expectations for quantity and quality while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive loading orders and manage all aspects of tank entry and monitoring.
• Drain tanks and filters as required and fill fuel tank trucks using appropriate loading equipment.
• Seal tank truck inlet caps and discharge valves after loading.
• Complete all required documentation, recording API, temperature, volume, and loading time.
• Inspect tank trucks before filling and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine equipment maintenance without interrupting operations.
• Calibrate flow meters, conduct hydrostatic pipe tests, and control pump motor activation/deactivation.
• Participate in safety training, emergency drills, and provide logistical support as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school diploma or technical degree.
• Validated experience in an industrial setting, preferably oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety policies.
• Good reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work in a team, follow orders carefully, and work at heights.
