Logistics Coordinator – Afternoon Shift

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will manage and optimise delivery schedules for our afternoon shift, communicating with mobile units via phone or radio and using mapping software to select the best routes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in dispatching pending loads and schedule drivers for pickups and deliveries.
• Coordinate and modify daily routes to meet customer needs and handle sudden changes such as road construction.
• Communicate freight requirements and procedures to drivers and provide routing directions.
• Monitor driver reports to enforce safety procedures and equipment safety.
• Update customer web portals with current load information and pull load forecasts from the system.
• Analyse transportation planning opportunities to reduce costs and ensure proper trailer pool placement.
• Participate in problem resolution with team members and other departments.
• Maintain compliance with dispatch standards and operating procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in logistics or transportation.
• College diploma or degree; plus at least 2 years experience in customer service roles.
• Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent English – both written and verbal.
