Management Services Associate

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is hiring a Management Services Associate in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, under the direct supervision of the Unit Head of Management Services and generally under the General Officer of Finance and Administration. The role provides specialized support and coordinates services focused on the client. Applications close on 11 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and technical support within the Management Services portfolio to deliver efficient, high-quality services.
• Monitor resource needs and help identify new requirements to improve operational efficiency and service profitability.
• Gather, analyse data and prepare reports to support decision-making and resource management.
• Process procurement, finance, human resources and related actions accurately and timely in corporate systems.
• Review and recommend improvements to procedures and advise staff on complex queries.
• Use digital tools and adopt new technologies, and take part in UN reform initiatives aimed at cost savings and better service quality.
• Act as focal point for travel management and for small procurements (MPOs), ensuring compliance, keeping records and producing periodic analyses and reports.
• Advise and train subordinates on regulations, policies, procedures and systems, and contribute to emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• Secondary education completed, with a post-secondary certificate in the relevant functional area (administrative management).
• Six years of progressive professional experience in the functional area of the position.
• Desirable: university degree in administrative management; knowledge of WFP Management Services regulations, policies and procedures; experience in data reconciliation, asset, facility, fleet and travel reporting; experience coordinating others and working across functions.
• Excellent spoken and written Spanish (level C) and workplace-level English (level B).
