Mathematics Tutor (Hybrid)

About the role

Math (+) Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Tutor to join its after‑school tutoring team in Tegucigalpa. The position is full‑time and hybrid, allowing the tutor to work both on‑site at the company headquarters and remotely from home. You will focus on delivering high‑quality instruction in algebra and related mathematical concepts to school‑age learners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging tutoring sessions in person and online.
• Assess individual student needs and design customized lesson plans.
• Provide step‑by‑step explanations, practice exercises, and constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and report performance to parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow tutors to improve teaching materials and maintain a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in mathematics, especially algebra.
• Experience in both in‑person and online tutoring.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students and parents.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with local school curricula and ability to work a consistent hybrid schedule.
