Methods Engineer – New Product Launch & Engineering Changes

About the role

Lear Corporation is hiring a Methods Engineer at its Santa Elena plant in Quimistan, Honduras (E-Systems division). The engineer implements the Engineering Manual during new product launches and engineering changes, keeping production processes running with zero defects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering samples and support prototype and pilot runs.
• Develop accurate work content and an optimal production plan.
• Complete the pre-planning process according to the Engineering Manual.
• Determine tooling and equipment needs for product launches or engineering changes.
• Support the release, start-up and follow-up of new programs, identifying and solving problems as described in the Engineering Manual.
• Maintain all required records and documents.
• Support LPS, internal controls and Lear's principles.
• Ensure rigorous implementation of planning standards: master board, master harness, hybrid harness and temper, exact length charts, visual aids and operation instructions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in engineering processes.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
