Production Control Clerk

About the role

The Production Control Clerk is responsible for compiling, recording, and analysing production data for an industrial environment. The role supports production planning, quality control and material management by generating accurate reports and work schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications and worker sheets using prescribed procedures.
• Calculate production factors such as quantities produced, material usage, scrap rates, defect frequency and department productivity using computers, calculators or spreadsheet software.
• Prepare written production reports, maintain document files and compile detailed work tickets for assembly or manufacturing staff.
• Develop work schedules, maintain material inventory records and generate requisitions for procurement.
• Create production charts, graphs or pegboards to visualise statistics for management and operational personnel.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of relevant production control or data‑recording experience.
• Experience booking travel under the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and ability to obtain a US Government NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
• Ability to work in semi‑office, hangar or open‑area environments with exposure to noise, fumes, weather and other industrial hazards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer‑based spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Basic word‑processing skills.
• Ability to use calculators and basic data‑analysis tools.
• Familiarity with travel‑booking procedures under JTR.
