Production Control Clerk

About the role

The Production Control Clerk records and compiles production data for industrial operations, ensuring accurate reporting on output, material consumption, and quality metrics. This role supports both production workers and management by providing timely schedules, inventory records, and travel arrangements for US contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and record production data from orders, work tickets, specifications, and worker sheets using prescribed procedures and word‑processing techniques.
• Calculate production factors such as item types, quantities, material usage, scrap, defect frequency, and department rates using computers, calculators, or spreadsheets.
• Prepare written production reports, maintain document files, and create detailed work tickets for assembly or manufacturing guidance.
• Develop work schedules, compile material inventory records, and generate requisitions for material procurement.
• Chart production statistics on graphs or pegboards for reference by production and management personnel.
• Sort and distribute work tickets and coordinate travel booking, estimation, and expense reporting for US contractors in line with Defense Travel Management Regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of relevant production control experience.
• Experience with travel booking under the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (NAC‑I T1 Public Trust) and US citizenship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer applications, calculators, and spreadsheet software.
• Word‑processing and data‑entry skills.
• Ability to type efficiently on a standard keyboard for email and software communication.
