QuickBooks Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Remote QuickBooks Financial Controller to own the accounting function of a luxury interior design firm. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage the General Ledger, lead the transition from outsourced to in‑house accounting, and oversee month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, optimize, and maintain QuickBooks to match the company’s accounting structure.
• Lead the migration of the General Ledger from an external firm to an internal team.
• Perform monthly close, reconcile accounts, and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and classification standards.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Prepare and review profit & loss statements and monitor cash position.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a financial controller or senior accountant.
• Deep, hands‑on QuickBooks expertise, including implementation and configuration.
• Ability to lead a team and manage the transition to an in‑house accounting function.
• Strong English communication skills (C1/C2 level).
• Self‑motivated, highly accurate, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
