Regional Finance Manager – Central America

About the role

The Regional Finance Manager will oversee financial management for Feed International country offices across the Central America region, supporting accounting, budgeting, reporting and audit functions. This hybrid position can be based in Guatemala or Honduras and reports to the VP of International Finance Operations with a dotted line to the Regional Director.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial accounting guidance, resolve system issues and support month‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple country offices.
• Monitor and review operational budgets, produce financial reports and ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management and audit requirements.
• Oversee sub‑partner financial reporting, manage grant‑related financial reviews and maintain transparent relationships with external vendors and consultants.
• Lead finance and administration teams, train staff on new accounting systems and adapt HQ policies for local implementation.
• Supervise fleet management policies and the Goods‑in‑Kind system for the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public accounting, finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• More than 10 years of finance and operations experience, including at least 5 years as a financial manager.
• Minimum 5 years leading and developing finance or cross‑functional teams in a multi‑country environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish with strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and U.S. Government grant compliance.
• Advanced understanding of tax and labor legislation in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, and a valid driver’s license with ability to operate 4×4 vehicles.
