Senior Audit Officer

About the role

ODEF, a Honduran financial institution with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Audit Officer to strengthen its risk‑based audit function. The role supports ODEF’s mission of providing accessible financial solutions to micro‑entrepreneurs and underserved populations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based audits across the organization, focusing on financial and operational areas.
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, and internal controls to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Collaborate with other departments to implement corrective actions and monitor follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience conducting risk‑based audits, preferably in the financial sector.
• Strong presentation skills and immediate availability.
